30-Day returns

Try the X5 in your own yard. If it isn't the right fit within 30 days, send it back.

Up and mowing in about 20 minutes

You do not need strong signal across your yard. The X5 only needs Wi-Fi where the charging base sits — the RTK antenna and mower handle the rest, even on a 3-story lot.

1 Place the base & RTK antenna

Set the charging dock near a Wi-Fi point and mount the RTK antenna where it has a clear view of the sky. No trenching, no boundary wire.

2 Walk the perimeter in the app

Drive the X5 around your lawn once from your phone, then drop no-go zones and corridors. Most yards are mapped in 20–25 minutes.

3 Schedule and forget it

Set cutting days and heights (1.6–3.2 in), and the X5 docks, charges and resumes on its own. Edit zones anytime.

FAQ

What obstacles can the X5 detect and avoid?

The Sunseeker X5 robot lawn mower uses two layers of obstacle avoidance. AI avoidance recognizes the type of object ahead and steers around it; anti-collision avoidance physically detects objects taller than about 15 inches that the camera does not classify. In everyday use it works around common yard objects such as toys, garden hoses, flower pots, exposed tree roots, stumps, chairs, water pipes, pets, and people.

Good mower and blades, RTK wobbles near my trees

I'll start with the positives — the cut is clean, the spare blades kit meant I never had downtime, and the wire-free boundaries were easy to set. The honest issue is that under my two big oaks the RTK signal gets flaky and it occasionally has to reposition, leaving a strip for the next pass. Not a disaster and it usually catches it, but if your yard is heavily canopied know that going in. Everything in the open cuts perfectly.

Appreciate the balanced review, Nadia. Dense canopy can absolutely challenge RTK, and you're right it repositions to recover rather than guess. Our support team has a base-placement guide that often improves signal under heavy trees, and we'd like to walk you through it — we'll reach out. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Solid setup, app had a small learning curve

The mower and blades combo is great and I like having spares on the shelf. My one small snag was the boundary app — took me a couple tries to understand how to draw a no-go zone around my garden. Once it clicked it was fine, and the wire-free perimeter is way better than staking a cable. Cut quality with the fresh blades is excellent.

Thanks Aaron — you're right the no-go zone drawing isn't obvious the first time, and we're improving that flow in the app. Appreciate you sticking with it, and glad the fresh blades are cutting clean. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Great cut, wish it came with a second spare set

The blades kit is exactly what I wanted and swapping is genuinely tool-free. Only reason it's not five stars is I'd have loved two spare sets in the bundle instead of one, since I cut daily and go through them faster than most. The X5 climbs great and the wire-free boundaries have been rock solid otherwise.

Fair ask, Marcy — for a daily-cut lawn a single spare set does get used up quicker, and we're looking at a larger blade pack option. Glad the wire-free boundaries are holding up. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Gerald P.
comparison shopper, this one won

Compared four robot mowers on paper before I bought. The X5 was the only one with true all-wheel drive for my terraced backyard, and getting the version with the blades kit meant I wasn't hunting down consumables three weeks later. Climbed my grade on the first try and I've already rotated to the spare set once — two minutes, no tools.

E
Eric L.
set it up in an afternoon

Wire-free perimeter meant no trenching, no cable staking. Had the boundaries drawn and the first cut going within an hour or two. Keeping the spare blades in the garage so I never lose a cut waiting on parts.

R
Rhonda B.
good bundle, wet-slope pause is the catch

Being straight with it: the X5 and the spare blades are worth the money and the cut is clean. But on my steepest section it pauses and waits for dry conditions when there's morning dew, which pushes my schedule around. A wet-traction firmware mode would fix this for me. Rating it in the middle honestly, but I'd still recommend it for most yards.

Appreciate the straight talk, Rhonda — morning dew on a steep pitch is the toughest condition, and the safety pause is doing its job even if it's inconvenient. A wet-traction mode is on our firmware roadmap; contact support and we'll add your unit to the update notice list. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Handles my slope, and I'm covered on blades

Two-wheel robot I tried last year spun out on my grade. The AWD on this one just goes. Bundling the blades kit means I'm not scrambling when the current set dulls. Simple, sharp, done.

M
Marcus L.E.
wished it came with more than one spare set

Really happy overall — the AWD is the real deal on my graded lot and the wire-free perimeter beat fussing with buried cable. My one nitpick is I kind of wish the kit included more than a single spare set for a yard this size, since I know I'll go through them. Not a dealbreaker, the swap is genuinely tool-free and fast.

Fair point, Marcus — for a bigger yard a single spare set goes quicker, and we've flagged that feedback for the kit options. Glad the wire-free setup and the AWD are earning their keep. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Nina D.
cut quality stays sharp

Simple review: it mows my half acre cleanly, the wire-free setup was painless, and I already have spare blades so the cut never degrades. That's the whole pitch and it delivers.

Love the straight-to-it review, Nina — keeping that cut sharp all season is exactly why we bundle the spares. Thanks for the trust. — SUNSEEKER Tech

G
Greg S.
ex-Husqvarna owner, no regrets

Ran a Husqvarna for years and got tired of the boundary wire and the hillside it couldn't manage. The X5's all-wheel drive climbs my back grade the old unit refused. Getting the blades kit bundled means I've already got replacements — big yards chew through them, so having a set waiting is genuinely useful, not just an upsell.

S
Steven C.
Great value but RTK wanders under my oaks

I want to be fair because the mower and the blades kit are genuinely good. The real issue on my lot is that under my two big oak trees the RTK position drifts and it'll occasionally reposition oddly before it recovers. Out in the open it's centimeter perfect. I've learned to route it around the dense canopy, but folks with heavy tree cover should know. Everything else, including the wire-free perimeter, has been great.

Thanks for the balanced review, Steven — dense canopy is the hardest case for RTK, and repositioning near heavy oaks is a known limitation. Our support team has a base-placement and routing guide that helps a lot in tree-covered yards, reach out and we'll send it over. No excuses, we're also improving canopy recovery in firmware. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Skeptic here, the precision won me over

Didn't believe a robot could edge my beds cleanly. It does. Centimeter accuracy is real and the wire-free boundaries held all season. The extra blade set was a nice bonus I didn't think I'd care about until I swapped and saw how much sharper the cut got.

S
Sandra W.
good mower, slight app learning curve

The mower is excellent and the blade kit is genuinely useful — swapped my first set in under two minutes. Being honest, the app took me an evening to fully figure out for drawing the virtual boundaries around my flower beds and the slope. Once it clicked it's been flawless. Four stars only for that first-night fumbling.

Thanks for the candid review, Sandra — the boundary tool has a small learning curve and your feedback helps us make that first setup smoother. Glad it's been flawless since, and that the spare blades are handy. — SUNSEEKER Tech

B
Brandon J.C.
great value, wish it came with two blade sets

Really solid all around. The AWD is the headline — climbs a slope my neighbor's robot can't touch — and the spare blade kit meant I was ready when the originals dulled. My only tiny wish is that it included two spare sets instead of one, since I'll go through them over a few seasons. Minor gripe on a great product.

Fair point, Brandon — one spare set gets most folks through a good while, but we hear you on wanting extra runway. We'll pass the two-set idea along, and glad the AWD is out-climbing the neighborhood. — SUNSEEKER Tech

E
Emily F.
no more slipping down the hill

My last robot literally slid to the bottom corner and sat there spinning. This one? Grips and climbs, zero drama. Blades kit was the cherry on top — the included set keeps the finish crisp and I know exactly where the spares are.

bought for mom, she loves it

My mother's yard has a slope that made her old mower a hazard for her to push. The X5 handles it and she doesn't touch a thing. I got the blades bundle so when they wear I can pop new ones in on my monthly visit instead of ordering separately. Thoughtful little bundle.

L
Latoya S.
quiet, sharp, done

Runs quiet, cuts sharp, and I've got backup blades ready. My hilly yard has never looked better.

tech guy approved

Centimeter precision, app-drawn zones, AWD that actually torques up a grade — this thing is well engineered. What I appreciate is the blades kit in the same order; I like having consumables on hand rather than scrambling when performance drops. Swap is tool-free and takes seconds.

M
Monica D.
happy with it, small caution

Cuts great and I love having spare blades ready. One heads-up for buyers: on wet grass my slope gets a little dicey and I keep it to dry runs there. Not a dealbreaker, just plan around the weather. Otherwise a great value bundle.

Appreciate the honest heads-up, Monica — wet steep grass is the one condition to schedule around, and you've got the right approach. Glad the spare blades are earning their spot. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Renee P.B.
Dropped my lawn service and haven't looked back

Was paying a crew every two weeks to cut a half-acre with a decent grade to it. The X5 does it daily and it's always tidy now instead of a jungle-then-scalp cycle. What pushed me to the blades bundle was reading that dull blades tear grass instead of cutting it — so I wanted spares from the start. Tool-free swap is genuinely thirty seconds. Between the wire-free setup and never scheduling a mow again, this paid for itself faster than I expected. AWD grabs my hill even in the morning damp.

Thank you Renee — dropping the service and going daily is exactly the payoff we hope folks find, and you nailed why the spare blades matter for a clean cut. Enjoy the reclaimed weekends. — SUNSEEKER Tech

H
Hector M.V.
cut stays clean because I actually swap blades

Truth is I never used to change blades because ordering them was a hassle. Having the kit already meant I swapped on schedule and the lawn shows it.

Very good, setup took a bit

The wire-free perimeter is great once it's going but the initial setup took me longer than the video suggested, mostly me learning the app. Blades kit is a nice safety net. Mower climbs my grade with no issue. Happy overall.

Thanks Tyrone — the first-time app setup does run longer than the demo for a lot of folks, and we're streamlining that flow. Glad the perimeter and AWD are working well now. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Wire-free perimeter changed everything

No buried wire is the reason I finally pulled the trigger. Set the whole boundary from the app in an afternoon. AWD handles the grade toward the fence line, and the included blade kit means I'm not scrambling when the edges start looking ragged. Sharp spares on hand = a lawn that always looks freshly done.

B

NO WIRE AND SPARES IN THE DRAWER

Wire-free perimeter was the whole reason I looked at this, and getting the blades kit in the same box meant I was fully set up day one. Sharp cut, sets boundaries in the app, and I already have my next set of blades sitting ready. Climbs my sloped lot no problem.

G
Gregory A.
From a former lawn-service customer

I paid a crew every two weeks for years. Did the math, bought the X5 with the blades kit, and it paid for itself in a season. The blades matter more than you'd think — a sharp cut is what makes it look professionally done, and having spares means it never slips. Climbs my back slope the crew used to complain about too.

That math checks out, Gregory — a sharp blade really is the difference between mowed and manicured, and now you've got spares to keep it that way. Thanks for switching to us. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Angela P.F.
Great cut, wish it came with two blade sets

Really solid mower and the included blades kit is handy. My only nitpick is I'd have loved a second full set in the box for longer rotation. That's a small thing, the AWD and cut quality are excellent on my sloped lot.

Fair wish, Angela — a longer rotation set is something we're looking at bundling, and it's easy to reorder a kit in the meantime. Glad the AWD's handling your slope. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Curtis D.Y.
Having spare blades on hand is underrated

Bought the bundle with the extra blades kit and I'm glad I did. Swapped the first set after about six weeks — tool-free, took two minutes — and the cut went right back to razor sharp. No waiting on a reorder, no downtime. The X5 itself eats my half acre and climbs the grade without slipping.
