The V3 Dream Machine.

The V3 might not have all the bells and whistles, but it’s exactly what I needed for my Small Backyard. Setup was ridiculously fast and Easy. I had it mowing within 3 to 4 minutes of unboxing. I love that it avoids over 160 obstacles, which is perfect since my Dogs their leave toys everywhere. The slope-climbing ability is better than I expected; it handles the incline areas in my backyard without any slipping it does slow down tho. Its really quiet. At just 55 dB, you cant even hear it mowing, on the first mowing i set the cut depth to 9 then after a few mows i set it down to 5. I also set it to run everyother day from 10am to 11am to make sure the grass is dry from morning dew. The first few times I ran it my cat followed it all over the yard till she finally got bored with it. This is probably the best investment I have ever made. I now have More time to spend with my family.

Was I really going to bury a wire around my whole yard? No.

That was the dealbreaker with every other robot mower I looked at — dig a trench, lay the wire, hope you don't hit it with an edger later. The magnetic strip approach on the V3 is the whole reason I bought it. I laid it out on a Saturday morning, adjusted a couple spots where I'd cut too tight to the flower bed, and by lunch it was mowing. It's not a huge yard so I didn't need anything fancy, and the one-button start means my wife actually uses it too instead of it being 'my gadget.' Six weeks in and the grass has never looked more even.

Handled my slope better than expected

Part of my backyard drops off toward the fence and I figured a little mower would spin out. Nope. It climbed the grade fine and kept a clean line the whole way down. For a 0.15 acre lot with a hill, this thing punches above its price.

perfect for a small lot

We have a tiny front-and-back and honestly a full-size mower was overkill. The V3 handles our 0.15 acre with room to spare and it's quiet enough that I run it while the baby naps.

QUIET IS THE BEST PART

55dB is not marketing fluff — I can hold a phone call standing next to it. My old gas mower rattled the windows.

quiet enough i forget it's running

Seriously did not expect it to be this quiet. I was on the patio with coffee and my neighbor asked if it was even on.

Handles my slope better than expected

Part of my back yard has a decent grade down toward the fence and I figured the little robot would just spin out. Nope. Climbs it fine and keeps the cut even. For a small yard with a slope this is exactly right.

Bought this for my dad and he actually uses it

My father is 74 and I worried about him out there with the old mower in July heat. Got him the V3 because the setup didn't need any wire digging and the start is literally one button. He calls it "the little guy" now and sends me pictures of the stripes. Installing the magnetic strip took us one afternoon together and that was the hardest part, which is to say it wasn't hard. Worth every penny for the peace of mind alone.

Melissa — this made our whole team smile. Glad 'the little guy' is keeping your dad out of the July heat, and thank you for trusting the V3 with something that matters. — SUNSEEKER Tech

ReadyGo actually means ready to go

I've been burned by 'easy setup' claims before. This one held up. Out of the box, strip down, button pushed, mowing within the hour. The Vision AI dodged my kid's soccer ball without me touching anything.

Bought it for my dad and he loves it

He's 74 and mowing was getting to be too much for him in the summer heat. The ReadyGo setup meant I could get it running for him in an afternoon and now all he does is push one button. He calls it 'the little guy.' Best thing I've bought him in years — thank you for making something a senior can actually operate without a manual.

Priya — this made our whole team smile. Tell your dad the 'little guy' is proud to be on the crew, and thank you for trusting the V3 to make his summers easier. — SUNSEEKER Tech

ReadyGo is a real thing

I was skeptical that any robot mower would actually be ready out of the box. Charged it, laid the strip, tapped start. That was it. The Vision AI kept it from bumping my raised beds too.

No wires, no fuss

Bought it Tuesday, mowing by Wednesday. The whole no-buried-wire thing sold me and it lived up to it.

One tap and done

I press the button on my way out the door and the lawn's cut by the time I'm back. That's the whole review.

Good value, minor learning curve on the strip

Happy overall. The mower itself is great and quiet. Only reason it's a 4 is the magnetic strip took me two tries to get right along the curved edge of my patio — first pass I left too little gap and it kept stopping there. Once I re-laid it, no issues. Would just tell new buyers to give the strip a little breathing room around tight curves.

Aaron — fair point, tight curves do want a bit more clearance and we should say so more clearly. We're adding a curve-spacing tip to the strip guide in the next app update. Appreciate you laying it out for other buyers. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Terrence A.B.
Good mower, gets confused in tall wet grass

I like it and would recommend it for a small yard. One honest note: if I let the grass get long and then it rains, the V3 will occasionally stop mid-run and tell me to check it, usually because clippings pack up underneath in the wet. My fault partly for skipping a cut, but I'd love a heavier-duty wet mode or a heads-up in the app when conditions aren't ideal. Mowing more often on dry days basically solves it.

Terrence — no excuses, wet-and-tall is genuinely the hardest case and the stop-outs are frustrating. Two concrete things: our next firmware adds a wet-condition alert so you can delay a run, and support can walk you through raising cut height for damp days — reach us and we'll set it up with you. Thanks for the constructive note. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Great little mower, app could be smoother

No regrets on the V3 — the no-wire magnetic strip setup is exactly what I wanted for our small yard and it starts with one tap. Only nitpick is the phone app occasionally takes a second to reconnect after my phone's been asleep, so I have to reopen it. Not a big deal since I mostly just use the physical button anyway, but worth mentioning.

Rebecca — appreciate the honest note. That reconnect lag is on our radar and a firmware update to speed up wake-from-sleep is in the works. Glad the one-tap start is carrying the day in the meantime. — SUNSEEKER Tech

does the job

Small yard, small mower, no complaints. Grass is even and I got my Saturdays back.

Happy overall, minor thing

Really pleased with it for the price. The only small annoyance is the magnetic strip pegs near my driveway worked slightly loose once, but I pushed them back and added a couple extra. Everything else has been smooth.

Thanks Alicia — good instinct adding extra pegs on high-traffic edges. If any keep lifting, our support team can send replacement anchors free. — SUNSEEKER Tech

No wires. Done.

Set it up in the driveway, drew my magnetic strip along the edges, hit the button. That was it. No trenching, no cutting the lawn open.

T
Tomás D.
Great little mower, one gripe

Cut quality is genuinely great and I love not hearing a gas engine anymore. Only nitpick: my yard is right at the top edge of what it's rated for, so on longer grass weeks it needs a second session to finish clean. Not a dealbreaker, just plan for it if your lot is near 0.15 acre.

Appreciate the honest note, Tomás — you're right that near the top of the range a second pass on heavy-growth weeks helps. Dropping cut height slightly and mowing more frequently keeps it to one run. Reach out anytime. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Bethany R.
Perfect for our starter home lot

We moved into our first house last year and the yard is small and flat — basically the exact yard this is made for. It handles the whole thing on one charge and tucks itself back to the dock. My husband and I stopped arguing about whose turn it is to mow, which alone was worth it.

Love this, Bethany — glad the V3 retired the whose-turn-is-it debate. Enjoy the first house! — SUNSEEKER Tech

D
David A.O.
small learning curve on the strip layout

Love it overall and the fact that there's nothing to bury sold me. My only tip for other buyers: take your time laying the magnetic strip on the first pass — I rushed my corners and had to redo two of them so it wouldn't clip my garden border. Once I got the strip right it's been flawless.

David — solid advice, and thanks for sharing it. Corners are exactly where a slow, deliberate first pass pays off. We're also adding a layout guide to the app to make those tight border sections easier. — SUNSEEKER Tech

N
Nina B.
solid little machine, wish the app remembered my schedule

Does the job well and I love not having wires in the ground. Docking one star because after a firmware update my saved mow schedule reset and I had to punch it back in. Small thing but annoying. Cut quality and quietness are great otherwise.

Nina — you're right, a schedule shouldn't drop after an update and that's on us. The team has a fix rolling out that preserves saved schedules through firmware changes. Thanks for flagging it. — SUNSEEKER Tech

S
Sandra K.
Perfect for a little city lot

We have maybe a sixth of an acre in the back and I always felt silly hauling out the push mower for something that small. The V3 handles it easily and honestly the small yard is plenty of work for it to feel worth the money. Set the magnetic strip around the flower beds, hit go, walk away. No gas, no cord, no pull-start shoulder workout.

S
Sandra W.
ReadyGo is not marketing fluff

Opened the box, followed the setup, laid the strip, hit start. Was mowing in under 40 minutes and I am not a handy person.

G
Gregory O.
Was skeptical, now I'm a believer

I'll admit I thought a mower without buried wires would wander into my flowerbeds or off the patio. It hasn't. The vision AI actually sees stuff — it slowed down and went around my kid's soccer ball instead of launching it. Three weeks in and the lawn looks more consistent than when I did it myself every Saturday.

K
Kevin G.T.
Does exactly what it says

Small yard, tight budget, first robot mower. It just works. Cut is even and I don't think about it anymore.

D
Danielle P.
No buried wire, no regrets

My last robot mower needed a perimeter wire buried around the whole yard and it was a nightmare when the dog chewed through it. The magnetic strip on the V3 sits on top, easy to move if I change a bed. For a small flat yard like mine this is exactly the right amount of machine — not overkill, not underpowered.
