AI That Sees Your Yard — Fully Wireless, Even Under the Trees

The S4 is an AI robot lawn mower that maps and mows your yard entirely on its own — even under a dense tree canopy where GPS-based mowers lose signal. 3D LiDAR builds a precise map of your lawn while Vision AI reads the path ahead in real time. It's completely wireless — battery-powered with no power cord and no cables trailing across the grass; it runs by itself and returns to the dock to recharge. And because it actually sees what's ahead, it slows and steers around the hoses, toys, planters, and flower beds most yards are full of.

Different zones different schedules

Front yard gets mowed Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Backyard Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Different heights for each because the back gets more shade and I keep the bluegrass taller there. All set up in the app in about 10 minutes. Multi-zone is one of those features I didn't think I needed until I had it. Took one star off because the mower sometimes takes a weird long route between zones instead of the shortest path. Not a big deal but it wastes battery.

Hey Aaron — the inter-zone routing can be optimized by adjusting the zone transition path in the app's advanced map editor. Give it a try and let us know if it helps! — SUNSEEKER Tech

Quick math on the value

Quick math: $85/month lawn service x 12 months = $1,020/year. The S4 paid for itself before the end of year one. And unlike my old lawn guy, it shows up on time every time. Bermuda grass is looking thick and healthy with the frequent light cuts. No more scalping.

Different Cut Heights for Front vs Back

I keep my front yard at 2 inches for a manicured look and my backyard at 3 inches for the kids. No manual mower made switching easy. The S4 lets me set different cut heights per zone in the app — setup took 25 minutes for both areas. Two weeks in, each yard looks exactly how I want. Front is tight and clean, back is lusher for the kids to play on. One rescue when it hit a new garden gnome my wife placed. Fantastic.

Narrow 3-Foot Passage — No Problem

My yard has a narrow 3-foot passage between the house and fence, plus a terraced garden area. I never thought a robot mower could navigate this layout. The S4 mapped the tight corridor on the first try — 25 minutes total setup. Two weeks later, it moves through the passage perfectly every single time. Only wish it could cut slightly closer to edges, but honestly that's minor.

Robot mowers always seemed like a gimmick until this one

Robot mowers always seemed like a gimmick to me. Expensive toys for people with too much money. Then my back gave out and pushing a mower became a real problem. The S4 was my Hail Mary and I'm genuinely impressed. No wires to bury, no GPS signal issues, just draw the map and let it go. My bluegrass looks better than when I was cutting it myself. Swallowed my pride and I'm glad I did.

L-Shaped Yard with Tight Corridors

My L-shaped yard has a 4-foot-wide walkway connecting front and back, plus a noticeable downhill slope. Almost bought a competitor but the S4's 80cm narrow passage spec sealed the deal. Setup took 30 minutes due to the tricky layout. Two weeks in and it navigates the corridor and slope daily without a single intervention. Systematic mowing means no missed strips even in the tightest spots.

Cancelled my lawn contract after one month

One month with the S4 and I called to cancel my lawn maintenance contract. $110/month saved. The mower runs on a schedule, doesn't need gas, doesn't wake up the neighborhood, and cuts more consistently than a crew rushing through 20 yards a day. ROI is clear.

40% Slope — S4 Didn't Even Flinch

Everyone told me my side yard was too steep for a robot mower — easily a 40% grade. I was nervous spending this much on something that might just tumble downhill. The S4's 42% slope spec gave me confidence. Setup took 20 minutes. Three weeks of daily mowing on that slope and it hasn't slipped once. The all-wheel drive is the real deal. Even the incline cut lines look professional.

Great to hear, Derek! The AWD system is built for exactly those conditions.

Handles Slopes with Confidence

My backyard has noticeable slopes, and I was worried about traction. The S4 climbs steadily and maintains a consistent cut even on uneven ground. No slipping, no torn grass — very impressed with the stability.

Pet-Friendly & Quiet Operation

With two dogs at home, safety and noise matter. The S4 runs quietly and avoids obstacles reliably. My pets are not bothered at all, and the lawn stays neat without loud gas mower noise.

The CES buzz is deserved

Saw it was a CES 2026 Innovation honoree and got curious. The 3D LiDAR mapping is genuinely a step above the GPS pucks my neighbors have. Quarter acre, some shade, done in one quiet run.

C

Maps like it has eyes

The mapping is uncanny. Tight corners, around the trampoline, along the beds — it just knows. Impressed.

No wire is the dream

Rent a house, can't trench a perimeter. The S4 needs nothing buried. Sold me instantly.

W

Quiet, clean, carefree under the oaks

We have three mature oaks that turn the whole backyard dappled by noon. I assumed I'd be rescuing a stuck robot constantly. Instead the S4 just maps around them and cuts evenly everywhere, shade or sun. A month in, not a single lost-signal alert. The 20-minute, no-wire setup was the easiest of any yard tool I've bought.

D
Dominique A.
The shade test it actually passes

My backyard is more shade than sun thanks to a big oak and a line of arborvitae. That combination defeated two robots before this one — both relied on a sky signal. The S4 doesn't, and it shows: it maps and mows the darkest corners as cleanly as the open patches. Twenty-two minute setup, no wire in the ground.

Reginald C.
Why I stopped trusting GPS mowers and switched

Let me save the tree people some money and heartbreak. We have a heavily wooded quarter-acre, and I learned the hard way that 'GPS' or 'RTK' robot mowers and dense canopy do not mix. My previous unit needed a clear view of the sky to hold its position, and under my oaks it would drift, pause, and eventually strand itself waiting for a signal the leaves were blocking. I'd basically given up on robots for a shaded yard until I read how the S4 navigates. It uses 3D LiDAR — it 'sees' the yard in three dimensions instead of leaning on satellites — so tree cover means nothing to it. The setup was the easiest part: roughly twenty minutes, no perimeter wire to bury, no base station to plant in a sunny spot I don't have. It built an accurate map on the first run and has mowed my shadiest corners as cleanly as the open ones ever since. A full month in with zero signal-loss incidents, which my old mower couldn't manage in a single afternoon. If your yard has real tree cover, do not buy a satellite-dependent mower — get the LiDAR.

Set up over breakfast

No wire, no posts. Twenty minutes and it was already mapping around my birches.

Brilliant nav, a touch loud on the gravel edge

LiDAR is superb under my oaks. Only nit — it's a touch noisier than I expected when it crosses the gravel border. Minor for how well it navigates.

Thanks Cleveland — gravel borders do bump the noise up briefly as the wheels change surface. Glad the LiDAR's earning its keep under your oaks. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Great mower, wish it came with a dock cover

Cuts beautifully under my oaks. Just wish a charging-dock cover were included instead of a paid add-on — it sits exposed to rain otherwise.

Appreciate it Dominic — a weatherproof dock cover is on our roadmap, and we hear you that it shouldn't be an afterthought. — SUNSEEKER Tech

CES honoree, and you can tell

The 3D LiDAR navigation feels a generation ahead of the wire-bound stuff I tried first.

I
Ibrahim D.
No buried wire is the whole reason I bought it

I rent, so trenching a perimeter wire was never going to happen. The wireless LiDAR setup means nothing permanent goes in the ground — strips and software only. Took about 22 minutes start to finish. My landlord didn't even notice anything changed, except the lawn looks sharp now.

F
Faye H.
Excellent, but budget for the dock cover

The LiDAR navigation under my tree cover is everything advertised — flawless. Knocking one star purely on value: the weatherproof dock cover is a separate purchase, and at this price it should be in the box. The mower itself I can't fault.

Appreciate it Faye — you're right that a weatherproof dock cover shouldn't be an upsell at this price. It's on our roadmap to include. Glad the navigation's flawless for you. — SUNSEEKER Tech

H
Hassan E.
Renter-friendly and tree-proof

Two things mattered to me: nothing permanent in a yard I don't own, and navigation that survives my tree cover. The S4 nailed both. The wireless LiDAR setup leaves no buried wire and no posts, and the canopy that wrecked my old GPS mower is a non-issue. My security deposit and my lawn are both safe.

G
Gwen M.
20 minutes and it was mowing

No wires to bury, no posts to plant. Set it up over a cup of coffee and it was working before I finished it.

T
Tomas R.
Canopy? What canopy.

Heavy shade from three maples killed my last GPS mower. The S4's LiDAR doesn't even notice the trees.

B
Brooke E.
Excellent under trees, app has a learning curve

The hardware is genuinely impressive — the LiDAR makes the shade problem disappear. Knocking a star because the app's zone-editing took me a while to understand and the manual is thin. Once I figured out multi-zone scheduling it was smooth, but the first evening was frustrating.

Thanks Brooke — fair point on the manual. We're expanding the in-app zone-editing tutorial and rewriting that section of the guide. Glad multi-zone is working for you now. — SUNSEEKER Tech
