AI That Sees Your Yard — Fully Wireless, Even Under the Trees

The S4 is an AI robot lawn mower that maps and mows your yard entirely on its own — even under a dense tree canopy where GPS-based mowers lose signal. 3D LiDAR builds a precise map of your lawn while Vision AI reads the path ahead in real time. It's completely wireless — battery-powered with no power cord and no cables trailing across the grass; it runs by itself and returns to the dock to recharge. And because it actually sees what's ahead, it slows and steers around the hoses, toys, planters, and flower beds most yards are full of.

Different zones different schedules

Front yard gets mowed Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. Backyard Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Different heights for each because the back gets more shade and I keep the bluegrass taller there. All set up in the app in about 10 minutes. Multi-zone is one of those features I didn't think I needed until I had it. Took one star off because the mower sometimes takes a weird long route between zones instead of the shortest path. Not a big deal but it wastes battery.

Hey Aaron — the inter-zone routing can be optimized by adjusting the zone transition path in the app's advanced map editor. Give it a try and let us know if it helps! — SUNSEEKER Tech

Quick math on the value

Quick math: $85/month lawn service x 12 months = $1,020/year. The S4 paid for itself before the end of year one. And unlike my old lawn guy, it shows up on time every time. Bermuda grass is looking thick and healthy with the frequent light cuts. No more scalping.

K
Kendra W.
Different Cut Heights for Front vs Back

I keep my front yard at 2 inches for a manicured look and my backyard at 3 inches for the kids. No manual mower made switching easy. The S4 lets me set different cut heights per zone in the app — setup took 25 minutes for both areas. Two weeks in, each yard looks exactly how I want. Front is tight and clean, back is lusher for the kids to play on. One rescue when it hit a new garden gnome my wife placed. Fantastic.

Christine D.
Narrow 3-Foot Passage — No Problem

My yard has a narrow 3-foot passage between the house and fence, plus a terraced garden area. I never thought a robot mower could navigate this layout. The S4 mapped the tight corridor on the first try — 25 minutes total setup. Two weeks later, it moves through the passage perfectly every single time. Only wish it could cut slightly closer to edges, but honestly that's minor.

Robot mowers always seemed like a gimmick until this one

Robot mowers always seemed like a gimmick to me. Expensive toys for people with too much money. Then my back gave out and pushing a mower became a real problem. The S4 was my Hail Mary and I'm genuinely impressed. No wires to bury, no GPS signal issues, just draw the map and let it go. My bluegrass looks better than when I was cutting it myself. Swallowed my pride and I'm glad I did.

L-Shaped Yard with Tight Corridors

My L-shaped yard has a 4-foot-wide walkway connecting front and back, plus a noticeable downhill slope. Almost bought a competitor but the S4's 80cm narrow passage spec sealed the deal. Setup took 30 minutes due to the tricky layout. Two weeks in and it navigates the corridor and slope daily without a single intervention. Systematic mowing means no missed strips even in the tightest spots.

Cancelled my lawn contract after one month

One month with the S4 and I called to cancel my lawn maintenance contract. $110/month saved. The mower runs on a schedule, doesn't need gas, doesn't wake up the neighborhood, and cuts more consistently than a crew rushing through 20 yards a day. ROI is clear.

40% Slope — S4 Didn't Even Flinch

Everyone told me my side yard was too steep for a robot mower — easily a 40% grade. I was nervous spending this much on something that might just tumble downhill. The S4's 42% slope spec gave me confidence. Setup took 20 minutes. Three weeks of daily mowing on that slope and it hasn't slipped once. The all-wheel drive is the real deal. Even the incline cut lines look professional.

Great to hear, Derek! The AWD system is built for exactly those conditions.

K
Kimberly G.
Handles Slopes with Confidence

My backyard has noticeable slopes, and I was worried about traction. The S4 climbs steadily and maintains a consistent cut even on uneven ground. No slipping, no torn grass — very impressed with the stability.

B
Belinda W.
Pet-Friendly & Quiet Operation

With two dogs at home, safety and noise matter. The S4 runs quietly and avoids obstacles reliably. My pets are not bothered at all, and the lawn stays neat without loud gas mower noise.

T
Thomas B.
Sculpture garden, one thin pole missed

Metal sculptures everywhere and it threads between all of them. One quarter-inch steel rod it didn't see, so I added a no-go. Under the trees it's never lost the map.

Borrowed a friend's GPS mower for a weekend first

Same shaded lawn, same weekend. The GPS unit wandered under the oaks and gave up after ten minutes. The S4 I bought the following week mapped the lot in one walk and finished the whole thing. That was in May and it hasn't missed a run. If your yard has a canopy, the navigation method is the only spec that matters.

That side-by-side is the clearest explanation of LiDAR under tree cover we've seen. Thank you for writing it up. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Dental office in a converted house, patients ask about it

The lot is shaded by two big sycamores. The S4 mows before we open and the lawn looks better than the practice down the street with a crew.

B

Bamboo screen along the property line, LiDAR sees every stalk

GPS mowers lost their mind next to the bamboo. The S4 maps the stalks as a wall and mows right up to them. Quarter acre under a mix of bamboo and oaks, done every other day since June.

I
Isabella R.
Sees the trampoline legs, tries to mow under it

It maps the legs perfectly and then goes under the trampoline, where the ground is sunken and it gets stuck. A no-go around the whole thing fixed it. Otherwise flawless under our maples.

Good fix. A trampoline is tall enough that the sensors see open space underneath, so a no-go zone is the right call. — SUNSEEKER Tech

G
Garrett F.
Stops for the tortoise, clipped a garden gnome once

The tortoise matters, the gnome didn't. Made the gnome a no-go in week one. Under the oaks it has been straight and steady since.

Tortoise first, gnome second is the right priority, Garrett. Thanks for the no-go tip for other gnome owners. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Steady season, one unneeded suggestion

Reliable under heavy shade from May to October. The October update added a leaf-season height suggestion I didn't want. Otherwise nothing to report, which is the point.

D
Daniel M.
Pairing took a couple of phone restarts, then smooth

Once paired, mapping took twenty minutes and it has been excellent under our pecans ever since. Worth a note in the manual that a restart helps.

The pairing step has been reworked in the latest app release and the setup guide now mentions the restart. Glad the mowing has been smooth since. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Mapped it during halftime

Phone in hand, one lap, saved. Mowing by the third quarter.

Hosta beds untouched all season

It threads between the hostas and the brick edge without a scratch. The LiDAR map hasn't drifted since May and I trimmed twice all year.

Thanks Rina. Hostas and brick edges are a tight test for the map, and two trims all year is the result we aim for. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Rosalind K.
Great mower, one firmware update bricked it for a day

Navigation under our pecans is excellent. An October update failed mid-install. Support walked me through a reset. Resolved, but a day lost.

Rosalind, sorry for the lost day. The October update had an interrupted-install issue that we've since patched, and support was right to walk you through the reset. Thanks for sticking with it. — SUNSEEKER Tech

Edged beds through acorn season

It hugs the brick border within an inch even with acorns rolling around. I trimmed the last inch twice all fall. Saturdays stayed mine.

Cedric, this made our week. thanks for trusting us with your lawn. — SUNSEEKER Tech

grandmother's shaded lot, one season in

set it up for her in may. she's 79, never touched the app, just watches it from the porch. under her magnolias it has never lost its place.

R
Rodrigo Q.
Solid first season, one map tweak

Added a no-go around the new fire pit in September and it respected it immediately. Otherwise nothing changed since May. Reliable under heavy shade.

P
Preston G.
Cedar grove so dense my phone loses GPS

The S4's LiDAR doesn't care. Our quarter acre sits under cedars that block the sky, and it has finished every run since May, peak needle drop included.

A cedar canopy that blocks your phone's GPS is precisely why the S4 uses LiDAR, Preston. Thanks for the season report. — SUNSEEKER Tech
