I have only had this unit for a couple of weeks but l am totally satisfied so far, it will be interesting. It was an easy setup once I placed antenna in a good location. Every time “ Moises “ goes out to work i am confident the task will be completed and he will to charging dock without out a hitch. My concerns are 1) Longevity & Maintenance.
Really liking out so far. Just wish it could more a bigger area.
Scanning tech is pretty cool making sure to pass personal objects and not miss a spot, always wanted a robotic lawn mower that does the work itself without doing it myself. Great product overall!
I was a bit nervous about buying a robotic mower, but Sunseeker’s local support made it easy. I had a question during setup and got a fast, helpful response from a real person. We’ve got a pretty uneven lawn with a few trees and garden beds, but the X3 Plus has no problem getting around. It’s surprisingly quiet too — I can run it while my kid naps. Wish I’d bought it sooner!
First of all, I’m not getting paid or a product or anything for this review.
Before purchasing the X7 Pro in April 2025, I thoroughly researched the market. Husky, Luba, Yarbo, and others. I compared the specs, designs, reviews, and performance.
The Luba 2 and X7 Pro seemed like the best options, so I tried them both in my yard for a day. X7 Pro was the clear winner in terms of specs. X7 Pro is lighter, it turns better, it doesn’t roll over/smash grass before grass hits the cutting deck, it offers a much wider range of cutting height from 0.8 to 4.0 inches.
Performance wise, they were somewhat comparable. However, I do have a complex yard of about 2.5 total acres with 1.9 acres of mowable area and over 100 trees and bushes. That is where X7 shined! The three powered wheels allows X7 to easily steer around trees and bushes. It can also quickly pivot and turn without taring up my grass! Whereas, the Luba took forever and tore up the grass. X7 is much better for complex yards!
Since April, I’ve been very impressed. X7 Pro mows my yards twice a week. My yard always looks freshly mowed! And, the grass went from a thin and full of weeds because we live in the Midwest country side and used to mow every week or two to thick and healthy with noticeably fewer weeds.
X7 Pro is quiet. When the robot is near the house, we hear a very slight humming of the motor driving the wheels, but it is barely noticeable. Usually, we don’t even know it is running.
Some will wonder how often it gets stuck. Rarely is the answer. I’ve only had it get stuck on thick soft freshly laid mulch a few times and in some deer fencing once.
Some will wonder how often it goes out of bounds. It never goes awol. It doesn’t just drive off or do unexpected things. It has fallen in a ditch along the edge of the property, but that was when set to the more aggressive mow setting that I used when dandelions were out of control. At the less aggressive setting that I usually use, the X7 is very well behaved. We trust it to mow the grass when we are out of town for the week.
Some will worry about the RTK and tree coverage. The middle of our yard is open. All four edges, the back sixth of the property and front sixth are all trees. We have an oak, several maples, white pines, black cherries, spruce trees, dogwoods, Norway spruce and more. Our antenna is about 10 feet from our house at the edge of our garden. The only connectivity issues we have had were because Sunseeker did something to the firmware a couple times. But, once they addressed the issues, our robot runs great! It goes under and around all those trees including on the outside edge on the other side of the trees without any issues. That part is very impressive! I wasn’t sure the property would work with a robot.
The X7 was somewhat new to market when we got it. There were some initial connectivity issues driven by firmware changes and the app initially wasn’t so good. But, the support has been awesome! They are reachable by email and phone and respond quickly to actually solve issues! And, the app is really coming along. There have been several updates just in the four months we’ve had it.
What else?....
Mapping the property took quite a while due to all my evergreen trees. The AI is pretty good, I drove around the edge and let the robot fill in most of the trees and bushes on our property. But it is rather challenging for it to recognize the edges of an evergreen tree. We have a lot of those. Rather than letting the AI spend a lot of time learning all the evergreens, I manually created no-go zones around them.
The blades last a long time, but the cut will improve if you change more often. Changing every one or two months is probably ideal if you have a large property like I do that requires frequent running.
One thing I hadn’t considered is how much time the X7 would save me. I used to have to mow by hand under the maples because my tractor is too tall. I used to have to do a lot of string trimming because my tractor couldn’t get so close to edges. And, when I didn’t do that work, our yard looked messy. The X7 gets much closer than I could get, saves time, and makes those areas look perfect!
Overall, I highly recommend the X7. The yard looks great. The product is well designed and performs well. If you are on the fence, just pull the trigger! I’m so glad I did.
Overall still pleased and intrigued. The app constantly gets new features rolled out and I am still impressed with the user interface.
Mixed feelings about this mower. Better than my previous Landroid at handling a curb on a hilly 1/2-acre lot but still sometimes ends up in the road. Plastic gets damaged when falling off the curb. It avoids some areas despite app settings. Needs service after 4 months due to a persistent error, but support is responsive.
Sunseeker V3 suits pet owners. My golden retriever once made me fear accidents with regular mowers, but V3 is quiet—dog doesn't mind, even watches it. It easily avoids garden beds/trees, has convenient app programming and self-charging. Recommended for busy, pet-loving people wanting a nice lawn.
robot is very easy to set up, it gives us more time to do the things we love and runs smoothly and flawlessly. Going uphill is also very smooth. I love how quiet it is and I recommend this mower.
entire yard. It’s a great investment—saves time and keeps the lawn perfect.
The entire setup process went very smoothly. I really like this lawn mower, wow, I'm impressed. Very smooth, without any issues. It's effortless. The mowing effect is the most neat, with almost no "grass" appearing.
My small lawn needs more magnetic strip than included; no extra strips sold. Support suggested a brick border, not ideal. It mows well but rarely returns to the charger. After confining it to the backyard with the strip, it works. Setup is tricky without a fence. Responsive support, but 90°F mowing nearly covers the yard—would rate 4* if it recharges alone. It improves with use.
This is awesome! I tell everyone about it. Once you set up the wiring and configure via phone/tablet, it works hands-free, self-contained. So far great—keeps mowing. I’ll redo wiring this weekend to cut along the house with a neighbor. Trimming and setup are doable.
It has done an excellent job of making our yard look beautiful, it mows well and my grass has grown a little taller. I have a better understanding of mapping now and will have to re-plan my area to make this little guy easier to maneuver. I would absolutely buy it again, I waited too long! This robot is a must have and well made!
Set it and forget it! The Sunseeker robotic lawn mower saves me an hour every weekend—It maintains my lawn, so I don’t have to. Easy to install with an intuitive app; it started mowing quickly. Super quiet, so it can work overnight or early morning. Leaves neat stripes, just like my old gas walk-behind mower. Highly recommended!
Love it—easy to install and train. Worried it wouldn’t handle my 3 disconnected lawn sections around the house, but it stays connected, crosses driveways/paths/pavers, and mows all. Even does great under the trampoline. Setup is fun; watching it work is the best. Helps with daily grass care. Quiet—no noise early/late, neighbors appreciate it. Will likely buy another for other properties.
As a golden retriever owner, Sunseeker V3 eases my worries—its quiet operation doesn’t bother my dog, who even watches it. It maneuvers well around garden beds and trees. App programming and self-charging add convenience. Highly recommended for busy pet lovers wanting a neat lawn hassle-free.
Like any new tech, it has a learning curve. Setting up and figuring out the app settings took some time, but once the yard is mapped and the schedule set, it’s ready. Be patient—if switching from a rider mower, don’t expect the same speed. It’s a "set it and forget it" machine: leave for the day, return to a freshly cut lawn.
This little guy is honestly kind of adorable—those “eyes” and even a tiny little wiper made me smile right away. It came with two rolls of magnetic strip that I used to block off areas I didn’t want it to mow, and it picked up on them with no issues at all. Setup was ridiculously easy—like, I was up and running in under two minutes just by following the manual. It’s basically “press and go.” It also came with two tags that are supposed to help it switch between zones. I haven’t tested that part yet, but if it works, that’s a total game-changer. So far, I’m seriously impressed and loving it!
Mixed feelings about this mower. Used a Landroid for 2 years on a hilly, shady ½-acre lot. It handles a curb better than Landroid but sometimes ends up in the road when left unattended, with plastic getting damaged each time it falls off. It avoids certain areas despite app settings. After 4 months, it needs service for a persistent error. Support is responsive, and a resolution is expected, but I’ll have to mow manually in the meantime. Support is helpful.
This robot mower is decent for what it is, but I’d advise checking its limitations before buying. It works best on fairly even lawns without many dips, thick grass clumps, or tree roots—mine gets stuck constantly.
I expected it to handle a dumbbell-shaped lawn and navigate the connecting path more easily, but it struggles. It also can’t cover two separate lawns (front and back) since zones can’t be too far apart.
Research thoroughly first. It’s a fine mower, just with narrow usability parameters.
Bought the v3 robotic lawn mower to get ready for spring! Its climbing and obstacle-avoidance abilities are impressive. My uneven yard has slopes and obstacles, but it navigates like a pro, effortlessly avoiding rocks, toys, and even my dog. It works great, saving me lots of time. Can’t wait to use it more this spring!
Sunseeker V3 is fantastic—climbs slopes great, quiet, navigates obstacles well, with neat grass-combing grooves. Signal drops (maybe due to not mounting on roof, HOA-restricted). Setup and app are tricky; need to move sprinklers daily. Amazing customer service offered help. Returned due to connection issues but will repurchase.
My small lawn adjoins neighbors’ yards. The included magnetic strip is 20% of needed length; support doesn’t sell extras, suggesting brick borders (not easy setup). It mows well but never returns to the charger on its own. Closing the backyard with the strip helped. Setup is tricky without a fence. Needs 2-3 charges for the whole yard. Support was responsive. It’s better with use—4-5 stars if it could self-charge.
Loved Sunseeker V3 over a week. Perfect for busy people—its multi-zone navigation and one-click start handle my 1/4-acre lawn, saving 1-2 weekly hours. User-friendly app works for non-tech folks. Misses some edges but does 90%+ work. Great customer service fixed setup glitches. Highly recommended!
